The Challenges
As a new customer, Clameg approached us with several pressing challenges related to their IT infrastructure. First and foremost, they were dissatisfied with their current provider after multiple failed attempts to accomplish a SharePoint migration.
Their critical company data was still housed on an outdated network-attached storage (NAS) device, which posed obvious risks in terms of data loss/leaks.
To make matters worse, a staff member was manually handling backups, and there was no proper device management in place. Additionally, Clameg lacked the ability to work remotely or onsite effectively, severely impacting collaboration and flexibility.
The Solutions
Our team took a methodical approach to address Clameg’s pain points. We spent considerable time prestaging and analysing their data, identifying where previous migrations had faltered.
By restructuring the data, renaming files, and thoughtfully designing their SharePoint environment, we ensured a successful upload and migration. The pivotal moment came when we seamlessly migrated them to Microsoft 365, providing a robust and scalable solution.
The Impact
Clameg now enjoys seamless collaboration and flexibility, whether working in the office or remotely. Their critical data is securely backed up, and automated tasks streamline operations. Most importantly, the legacy on-premise NAS is no longer a risk—Clameg’s data is safe, and the likelihood of catastrophic data loss has been significantly reduced.
